Korg MR2 Portable High Resolution 2 Channel Recorder
The Korg MR-2 is the highest resolution portable handheld audio recorder available, designed for critical recording of music performances and field recording.
Despite its compact and convenient size, the Korg MR-2 recorder supports a wide range of audio formats: 1-bit DSD 2.8244 MHz DSDIFF/WSD/DSF to allow SACD quality recordings, linear PCM audio formats from 24-bit 192 kHz to 24-bit 176.4/96/88.2 kHz and 16-bit/24-bit 44.1/48 kHz WAV BWF format, plus AIFF playback and recoding and playback of compressed audio formats such as MP3/MP2. An external input jack allows connecting an external microphone.
The Korg MR-2 handheld recorder includes 40 easily-selectable Recording Setups with its own settings for mic sensitivity, input level, analog limiter, low-cut-filter and bass EQ. Setups provide settings optimized for a range of recording requirements such as ensemble performances, solo vocal, or piano performance, as well as settings for field recording or documenting meetings. It's just like having your own personal recording engineer at your side.
Data recorded on the Korg MR-2 handheld recorder is stored directly to an SD/SDHC card with a maximum recording of 6 hours at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit for 4GB memory card.
The Korg MR-2 recorder is bundled with Korg's AudioGate audio format conversion software. In addition to converting files from 1-bit DSD to multi-bit PCM or vice versa, AudioGate software is an ideal way to edit the recorded material or to manage your archival masters.
The Korg MR-2 recorder is powered by two AA nickel-metal hydride batteries which allow approximately four hours of continuous recording or playback. USB bus power is also supported.
